Self-Publishing Success

by Aysha Griffin

Yes, you can make a living from your book, or at least create a sustainable revenue stream!

In this workshop you will clarify your motivations, objectives and options for self-publishing, and decide what is right for you and your “baby,” er, book. We’ll also focus on the promotional and moneymaking aspects of creatively leveraging your work through social media, joint ventures, affiliates, PR and other products.

Being a desktop publishing and marketing professional since 1986, I thought I could quickly and easily self-publish a book. Between Christmas Day 2011 and New Years Day 2012, I designed, formatted and self-published “Leonardo’s Revenge and Other Stories“, for print-on-demand and e-Books. It took me a brain-damaging 40 hours, but I did it for less than $30.

While empowering authors to “get your book out there,” I  highly recommend hiring help with certain technical aspects and I teach how to do so cost effectively.

In additional one-on-one consultation, I help you create a viable plan for “parenting” your book into successful adulthood.

I have twice presented this program at the San Miguel Writers’ Conference, (2011 and 2012) and for Writers Who Love Mexico on the Riviera Nyarit (2012).
